Hello

I have a L322 Vogue 2003, petrol 4.4.

I have multiple warnings, Land Rover have diagnosed the problem as the ABS ECU module, we had this checked with a specialist company, who said it was fine. Land Rover has said the problem only happens at temp. The pump isn’t at fault.

The part is €2000 and the car so old, not sure it is worth it.

I am trying to find a secondhand ECU, but can’t find the part quoted by Land Rover. If I can find one the specialist company says they could clone my old one.

Part SRB000283

Do any of you folk know if this part is interchangeable with another ECU?

Thanks for reading

Darren

If it is heat related, it is most likely the ABS ECU failing internally - I did a thread on this with photos and a video of my particular fault.

It is very common on the BMW 5'er and 7'er where the ABS ECU sits closer to the exhaust manifold than on the L322, so is not as common on the L322 but is still a known issue.

Thanks so much for the response, very helpful.

Can I ask if I buy a second replacement ECU, will it need a further programming or calibration, if so, could a normal garage do it or would it have to be Land Rover. They has said they won’t touch it is I use a secondhand part.

Thanks

No help to you, but in France dealers are required by law to offer a second hand part if it's available.
