Can someone enlighten me how to remove fan and shroud? I’ve lost count of how many ‘Rave’ manual links I have tried. One downloaded but won’t actually open.
Have to take tray off underneath to get at two fixing on bottom of cowl remove the connectors for the electric fans think there`s a pipe somewhere you have to move out the way couple of fixings across the top of cowl unscrew the fan and let rest in the cowl, you have to remove fan and cowl together its a bit of a wiggle to get it out, I left my fan and cowl off I believe @dwarfer has modded his into two half`s to make it easy to remove.

Ok so I spent the day changing the alternator to improve the charge rate.

Maldonado did the fuel pressure regulator on the back of the pump as that was causing my hot start issue. Put it all back together and now it won’t start again! Tried jump lead to engine and nothing.

I used my power probe and put power to the solenoid. That pulled the starter in. It ran and cut out. Did it again and it ran and cut out again but now it won’t even pull the starter in. I had a new starter ready but the new one has only one small terminal on. Old one has two?! Both of the wires are black, one slightly larger in diameter than the other.

panic stations now as I’m due to go to Cumbria on holiday on Monday :(

So replacement starter from a local 4x4 breaker. Tested it on the bench and certainly is better than my original to start with!

did ALOT of searching last night and found an interesting one. Chap had same issue as me with non start. He checked all fuses and found fuse 5 blown. That stopped the sport mode coming up on dash when he turned ignition on and it started! I checked this morning and my fuse was also blown. So I’ve fitted new starter and will refit battery and try it after lunch. I’ve also ordered a new ignition switch. Apparently a common fault!

Sorted!
So after the replacement starter was fitted I put it all back together and it works! She fired up!
Well kind of. The brand new Bosch fuel pressure regulator is faulty and was causing it to run like a &@£$ so off came the inlet again, removed new one. Removed the o rings and spacers sent fitted them to the old pressure regulator. Refitted it all again and hey presto she starts every time! I can only think it was fuse number 5! The pressure reg was done to solve my hot start issue.
