Hello All,

as I had the Maf sensor changed some years back, but still had the old one in the box of the new one, recently when still having issues with performance I thought I put the old one in. After the HD pump was changed and some other bits and pieces done I moved it back in (the newer one) and the performance went down again. The measuring on the old one shows less difference in requested air compared to delivered on pscan. On the cat.lrparts.ru it shows only one parts number. As I saw an air temperature sensor on the Haynes manual, around where the MAF is located I thought maybe the MAF was wrong and should have had the air temperature sensor in or does anyone know where it is on the '02 model?

The inlet air temperature sensor is integral with the MAF, which is why it has 5 wires, and not 4 which is all a MAF needs. If you look at the MAF element, you'll see a small glass tube, with a wire at each end, this is the temperature sensor.
