the air con on my discovery now we have had a bit of warm weather to try it out properly seems fairly cool but i would notcall it very cold.as i have never had a car with air con before ihave nothing to compare it to. anyone out there got any ideas eg how often do they need regassing.many thanks.

I had a leak in one of the pipes which needed replaced, whilst this was being done the air con engineer suggested that the dryer should also be changed at regular intervals (this is never done as part of land rover servicing) I took his advice (£28 for the dryer) and after fittng the new pipe he regassed the system and with a digital thermometer the reading at the air vent showed 4 - 5 degrees. It was regassed approx 2 years ago and still works well and still reads the same.
I tried one of the tins of gas from Halfords prior to getting the work done by the engineer who works with air con for a living and found that the diy stuff was a complete waste of money.
