you should be able to sort the srs fault yourself. It happens regularly on mine when the seat is moved
the book method is to disconnect the battery, leave for 20-30 mins, disconnect and reconnect the yellow cable under the drivers seat, then reconnect the battery.
I cheat, but I won't recommend it to anyone

Judging by all the preceding i would not be surprised if he has not knackered the rotary coupling.

I got rid of the (useless) side airbags that are in any case past their use by date.

Thanks for the tip, tried it yesterday but didn’t work on mine unfortunately. I’ll buy the adaptor for my Hawkeye and see what’s going on.

Don't have SRS on mine but is that the one where there are 2 bulbs on the dash and if one fails the other one lights up?

Looks like this FYI, hoping the garage has at least set the tracking I’m gonna remove the drag link from the steering box, centre the box by aligning the marks, then adjust the drag link to fit back into the steering box arm. Unfortunately this means I’ll have to remove the steering wheel and set it straight after this.
Have done it on other P38’s without setting off the airbag or damaging the rotary coupler, before you say!
