Hi
We brought our Freelander XEDi (manufac 2000) for a service and MOT last week. When we picked it up, we found that we kept losing power on acceleration. We returned to the garage who kept the the car overnight and they replaced the fuel fliter.
We picked it up the next day and it seemed fine but that night we had the problem again.
We brought it back to the garage (who when they lifted bonnet we saw that they had forgot to put back on the black engine cover). They had another look and saw that one of the injectors was leaking a small amount of fuel and that this could be the problem.
I feel that they were looking to absolve themselves of any responsibility and could not answer why the problem with acceleration was not consistent (if it was the injector problem) or why it only started after the service.
This is a nationwide chain who now dont want to know. I would appreciate any advice as Idont know the cause of the underlying problem or how to proceed.
Cheers
