I bought a p38 2.5 dhse. nice car, the guy told me that land rover just put new crank shaft sensors on and new fuel sensors. costing 800 bucks. he said the car was driving and then the engine light would come on then loss of power. But said range rover found the problem. How ever driving today with my family in germany it happend to me. Iwhilst still moving i placed the car in neutral. then back to drive and it rectified it but it happend 4 times when ever im giving gas then take off the gas quickly. any thoughts

I remember someone having the same problem with the same symptoms. Basically, the ECU was sensing over pressure from the turbo (when giving gas and release the pedal quickly) and putting the engine in limp mode.
But someone more enlightned will came along briefly to help you with that :)

Inconsistant signal from number four injector.

Check that the manifold absolute pressure sensor pipe is in place, it comes from under the back of the manifold to a little unit on the fuel filter housing.

Good point but that being detached would not put the engine light on. If it was detached there would be a constant loss of power, it would not come and go away.
