Running my 207K 200Tdi on biodiesel - if thats relevant - and have a bit of a leak. It is only the pipes that run between the injectors - don't know what it's called, I'm afraid. Old and very perished, I changed them using some rubber piping from my local motor factors.

Problem now is that, 4 weeks on it's leaking again - same place - one pipe leaking from where it joins to the injector. I tried a little jubilee clip, but leaking again after a week.

Qn1 have I used the wrong sort of pipe?

Qn2 is the bio breaking down all of the plastic/rubber seals as well?

Qn3 is there a better way of sealing this joint? I was going to attack it with cable ties this morning...

All input gratefully received!

Whilst you're changing the pipes just be careful you don't snap the nipple off the injector,

but the pipe should fit so tightly that you worry about it!

3mm diameter 'fuel hose' with nylon(?) braided exterior seems to have done the trick. Not stocked in my local Autocare store or either of the motor factors in town. Landrover repair place (non-franchise) down the road could get some by next week, but I found a roll in C&O Tractors in Blandford - £6 for a metre. Sorted.

Thanks for your help fellas!

There was a similair post on another forum recently and the guy was running bio and he tried several different types of pipe and he traced it to a blockage in the return line possibly due to the bio, maybe worth a look, iirc he remove the return line and couldnt blow down it.
The correct size is 3.2mm id
