Well the heavy bit's done, it's in. But I'm now struggling with the wiring and fuelling etc, could use some help figuring out what goes where. I'm following the guide in the sticky thread at the top of this section, which is useful but I'm still having trouble.

this pic shows the wires coming from the 110's bulkhead (left) and the wires going to the Tdi alternator (right) and I'm not sure which ones connect to each other, since the wires don't seem to match.

Also, I have another 2 or 3 wires from the 110 which I have no idea where they connect to on the Tdi;

Here's the back of me alternator;

And here's what me engine bay looks like at the moment;

Any help appreciated chaps, fast running out of time here :(

Thanks to drippy me wiring is all sorted out now... I hope :D:rolleyes:

Next thing to sort out is fuelling. I've got a metre of 8mm id hose and some jubilee clips ready to extend anything I need to, but need a bit of help working out what goes where.

Here's the Disco fuel filter mounted to the 110's bulkhead;

The pipe coming from the right hand side of it I think needs to be extended somewhere, but I'm not sure where it goes to.

Then there is this pipe coming up from under the bulkhead, not sure where this goes to;

And then there's my actual fuel injection pump (?) which needs plumbing...

Cheers all, again, any help much appreciated... nearly there! :D

Hi Langers,

Are you seriously going to run the main alternator wires through a chocolate block connector?

When I did my conversion I crimped ends on and soldered the ends, then connected the two connectors and soldered them all together covered them in some heat shrink coated in heat proof wire coating. You don't want thems shorting you will have a nice fire.

yer pipe with the plastic swirly coverin goes to yer lift pump its yer inny,yer pipe that yer rekin needs extendin goes to yer lift pump also thas yer outty. the pipe from the top of the filter housing goes to the front fitting on yer injector pump and the outlet at the rear of yer injector pump is yer return to tank

Yeah I might sort them out better once it's running. What type of connectors are you talking about?

Awesome... cheers :D I'll get that hooked up asap. Drippy I reckon you're going to become my new best friend :D:D:rolleyes:

issit runnin yet?:eek:

Hah no not yet, I'm waiting on a few parts including the radiator. Come back Tuesday and it might, might be running by then :D

Seen peeps on here that say they've done a complete swap in 4 hours :eek::eek::eek:, astounded anyone could do it that quick, but I suppose it gets quickers each time you do it.

:D:D:D 4 hours was the second attempt;):D:p

Slowly progressing, have now welded the rad brackets back on nice and low, my first ever bit of welding :D Well pleased with it, think my welder is my new favourite toy :D

Now, everything is all connected up, but as ever is the case, I've lost 1 single very important bolt. It's a 'banjo' bolt that goes in the back of the fuel injector pump, I think it's for the fuel return to tank or something. But it's the last one I've got to do, and I now need to order a new one as I've lost the original.

I've got the full Land Rover parts catalogue here, but I can't seem to find the right banjo bolt for the job. :( Any help appreciated as to the part number and where I can get it from.
