200 TDI cam belt snapped

my friend brought the cam belt kit ready to change it but put it in the shed, 4 months later his old one snapped (lesson learned) what things should he look out for, ie bent push rods and tappets?




and on a differnt note how do you get the crank pulley off the for-mentioned engine ??? is it normal thread (anti to undo)

please help him he's getting depressed over it now

not a bad engine for it to happen to unlikly there is any valve damage only push rods and rockers
for the pully bolt use a good breaker bar an sockett put the sockett and bar on the bolt resting it under the steering box and flick the starter may be worth removing the rocker shaft an push rods to stop any more damage to them
