Disco 2 2 quick questions

1. bought and fitted cruise control switches to my Disco td5. Don' work.
Seller says the ecu needs resetting?
2. Can I fit steering wheel audio controls if they were not originally fitted? The wiring is in the steering wheel.

I think the cruise control should be just install & use - certainly was on ours.
Don't know ref the audio

Cruise control requires 2 switches, one on the steering wheel and one on the dash. Wiring should be in place

Audio switches should work with the original stereo unit fitted to the vehicle, think you may need extra wiring with a different stereo

Great minds

Yes, fitted dash switch and steering wheel switch. Dash switch lights, nothing works when using the steering wheel switch. My Disco is a s model so steering wheel audio remotes were not standard. Fitted Kenwood dab unit, but if fitting the audio remotes is possible, I'd like to do it.

Tried everything between 30mph and 70mph no go

that's boll*x ... might be a fault somewhere which can affect the CC: brake switch, rotary coupler, clutch switch, etc

Were the switches new or used? If used is it possible for the contacts to have degraded enough to hinder operation?

All sorted guys, thanks. Wires to clutch switch had been linked, disconnected them and plugged the plug onto the switch, all working. Also found out can fit audio remotes to s model. They work with after market audio, with the correct adaptor. Well chuffed!!
