Ohhhhhhhhhh dear

Here we go again

Just look at them mate FFS ........... you could make em yourself for pennies and they aren't very good looking are they

If you insist on using spacers get the more expensive machined ones available :p

would the standard shocks be ok with the extra 2" travel?

If you use dropper turretts yes but you might as well get the shockers too TBH ;)

You can get a full kit springs n shocks for under £200 if you know where to look ;)

Dont forget extended brake hoses if you intend to go offroad though ;)

or theres these PM639 Rear Shock Absorber Top Mount Dropper Kit (pair)
and they go together with these Defender Suspension there same for disco an fender

an you wont need extended shocks then:D

thats what i have on order so tell you when i get them on if there any good:rolleyes:

hope that helps you some how:rolleyes:

Nick

i forgot to say there 86 quid p+p an vat

Yeah but for that price and the price of the lift discs you could near enough get the proper spring n shock kit

There ya go .... free delivery too ;)
RRCDISKIT1P Plus 2 Inch Lift Kit for Disco 1 and Range Rover Classic (without winch) - Pro Comp Dampers

For the record i have used dropper turrets and rear dropper mounts on DiscoGirls 300tdi with a 2" lift kit (springs n shocks) and the rear articulation with the antiroll bar removed is quite impressive :D

are these a simple put on and job done modification or is there more work to do to the vehicle (and bits to buy) to make it roadworthy? i like the idea of raising my truck 2" without messing with the suspension. (just put bilstiens on recently and would like to keep em). its a 96 v8i

also how would adding these affect the vehicle on the road? in the unfortunate event of an accident as the center of gravity is higher i increase the chance of a roll yes? i'm thinking if i do add the spacers i would also like to add the 30ml wheel spacers to help counteract this, would it help? Also would my stopping distances be affected if the truck is raised? i've only ever lowered cars in the past to improve handling and wonder if raising the truck will have the opposite effect and if so what can be done to correct this? cheers

i have found no difference in the handling no extra mods reqd the only thing you may need is coil spring clamps ......... and remember to oil the nuts well in advance on the bottom of the springs prior to fitting them lift spacers
