Hi everyone i not asking tyre advice ,as i have learnt, search and you will find... Just wanted to put it out there that i have done a 2" terrafirma spring conversion and fitted 265/75/r16 Insa special track tyres on steel modulars. Only other mods needed were front bumper cut. Just wanted to say if anyone has any questions on this feel free to contact me.Picture in my gallery if anyone interested.

I use 235/85 Special Tracks on our lifted td5, but on std lr alloys.
I get tyre contact with the front inner wheel arch outer edges at full suspension travel even without the extra wheel offset you probably have with the modulars.
Do your front or rear tyres rub at full travel ?

Hi Pawl i get rub where you describe on front at full articulation. Not really a prob so far as i don't do much extreme off roading . It is annoying though as i asked John Cradocks on 3 occasions before buying wheels/tyres if they would fit my set up with no rubbing and was assured they would. I going to pay and play site sunday so will report back after that. It is annoying and if it is an issue not sure of solution?

I can't see any acceptable solutions on mine. Sometimes the tyre grabs the screw that holds the wheel arch liner in place & bends the tab on the wing - otherwise it just makes some noise.
I want to keep the wheel arch liners as they definitely stop the c**p getting stuck where it will cause corrosion & i don't want to lift the front suspension further.
I tried extended bump stops - but they make the ride worse as they don't allow much travel before they contact - so speed bumps get a little painful unless you slow right down - lol.
1 of them then fell off while off-roading - so i've put the originals back on.

Only other "solution" is smaller diameter tyres - but then I'm going to get stuck on the diffs in the ruts the Defenders make.
Land Rovers are never easy are they ?

Hi matt...I've just purchased OME springs to do a 2" lift but have a separate post with some questions so would be good if you could take a look at my post and comment if you can.

Also...would like to see the pic how do I view?
Thanks

Hi Pawl no they not and i cant think of perfect solution either.Take it you have cut front bumper? Also on mine i took the inner arch liner off from the front half (if you know what i mean) which exposed the washer bottle. I then fabricated another one up which sat flush with bottle. My next thought was extended bump stops but you put me off that idea lol.

Hi Mendez i have a look for your post now,if you want to see pics of mine just click on my name then view profile and there are a couple of pictures up there. If you want close ups let me know and i take some.
