and a 2.5 petrol, from a 90.. less the manifold and carb, it has a new clutch attached..

I NEED THE SPACE,:D

send a PM if your interested, I'm based in ESSEX near M11 / M25 junction

Tops, another V8 Series soon to join the fold. Nice one Matrix & sorted yer mates out t'boot!

You'll have a lot of fun with a V8, I do. Just make sure yer brakes are top notch & well balanced!

Yer it's no good going faster without a big fookin anker for thoes OH S%*t moments, me landy has a 109 V8 front axel with 3 inch wide shoes all refurbished and she stops on a sixpence.:D

11" drums? Yeah, I got them, good ain't they. ;)

Watch the balance though. You can never get them perfectly accurate & braking hard at 70/80 with the leafers as well shows up differences you wouldn't notice at 50!

Thanks for that tip i have found no matter how much tinkering i do with the adjusters she always pulls on way or the other a bit.
going by the vin she was a diesel, moded to a 2.6 petrol when i bought her, so i asume the rear axel is origonal, Will that cope with a V8? or should i look for a 109 V8 rear?

You might want to find a different one fer a more relaxed ratio. Not even sure what mine is, stage 1 I think, certainly the ratio is 3.54:1. With a V8 & standard ratios I reckon you'll be spinning yer wheels in 1st & prob' 2nd too in the wet!

It still pulls like a train from the lights (shocks a few 'road' cars). Plenty of grunt (no, not 'Grunt') off road (stays in high ratio first in all but the worst) but cruises nicely at 70 at 3000 revs.

Just my opinion, but I was surprised how 'well behaved' mine is at most tasks. The guy who did the conversion did put a lot of thought into it. Shame he wasn't as good at electrics!
