2.5td Starting problems

My RD28 Patrol would be around 24 as low and 34 as new. That is why 20 as good seems a little low to me. I will check it later today. Thanks
 
See my other post. It returned 286, but 320 with a drop of oil in the bores. Thoughts?

were they all about the same ?

as long as they arent stupidly low and there isnt one or two that are much lower than the others the engine should run well - it's how well balanced the pressures are - with age and wear the compression is bound to drop

many peeps do expect far to much out of the TD- slow down take your time and enjoy the view
 
Well I started my defender 2.5td today with the advice of heater plugs on for 20 seconds then off for 10 seconds then on for 20 seconds and it started first time. (First time its done that) with advice of above post.

New plugs is only one of me problems
I have a leak on the front wheel near the swivel ball,I need a rear part of exhaust,and thats what I can see who knows what else is wrong with it.
And its a 2.5td so I have problems dont I ??/:confused:

If only Id done my home work:eek:

sounds like just a couple of hours work to sort - quit moaning and get yer spanners out
