hi just replaced the clutch on my 2.5 td 19J started up ok but it wont rev , ticks over fine buy just wont pick up new fuel pump new filter , not touched the timing so any ideas please

air been sucked in thru a loose fuel banjo. I'll bet ya forgot to tighten one of them up. Probably on the filter housing. (Don't ask how I know) :doh:

have checked all the connections , thought it was air in the line first but bleed it out as best i can , just wont rev very annoying

**** fuel pump (Lift pump presumably)?? Cos if yo replaced the injector pump it'll need the timing redoing.

no only the fuel lift pump , wasn;t working and found straw in it too !!!!!

is the new one a Britpart one?? you wouldn't be the first, to buy one and find out it didn't work.

yes it is a Britpart one , will check every thing again in the morning , other wise its off to the local landrover garage . need to get my series in and stripped , thanks

pipes on ther lift pump the right way round
