Brake lights now work. Fog light has a bad earth- yet to be sorted- and a bad case of falling apart...

I'll try and glue it back together.

Decided to put the new second-hand wheels on it so it looks like I'm making progress.
Before and after....

It also means I can get underneath it easier.

I also checked power steering fluid and there wasn't any in.:(

Fog light mended and working after tracing a broken earth wire. Temp joint to check and will run new wires.

Reverse light working and diff-lock light working.

Put atf in power steering and it kinda works. Pump is grumble and steering sticks when turning left. I'm hoping it clears up.

Backed her out of the shed and power washed the engine and chassis. Engine looks better with the ally corrosion blown off.

Drained the (rusty) water out of the engine, flushed the rad and filled back up with water.

Cut off the drain on the airfilter housing and glued a plate over the hole. The housing will be mounted the other way up, eventually.

Drove it down the lane and back up again.

Old doozil on left and fresh doozil on right (gotta tell you lot which is which;))

Discovered the fuel sender is kaput.
As is the radiator.

Just done bitty stuff to her today, but don't feel like any progress has been made.

Not bad welding at all. Keep going attacking/fixing all that crud. Unlike riding a bike welding is something you do forget how to do well, but the more you do the better you soon will get.

Drivers footwell just needs primer and seam sealer and more primer then top coat, so I started on the passenger footwell.

Cut it out fully this time, despite thinking I had cut enough out of the drivers one.

It needs a plate for the inside of the door pillar yet.

Footwells all welded, daubed with agricultural red oxide primer, seam sealed, another coat of r.o.p and splashed with agricultural oxide gloss.

I've also stripped the handbrake mechanism and freed it off. No pics of that though.
