yes i know there are lots of threads but all point to different things.

there seems to be alot of different opinions about the engine mounts some people say it will go striaght in, some say you need to cut the chassie about, some turn it around... who's telling the truth!!!

and no i dont want to put a 200 tdi in...:screaming_bug_eye_f

I am still confused by this. It seems to be that the Sherpa one can go in but the landrover one requires an engine mount modification.
But mine has a ex mil 2.5 and the chassis does not appear to be modified. But I don't know what they look like as standard. Have got a picture?

if its the same block why do a lot of people say you need to mess with the mounts or is that just with the td version...

I put a 2.5N/A in my Series III. N/S Engine Mount is fine. O/S one needs modification, I used the old 2 1/4 one and the 2.5N/A one, fitted one of them upside down with a bit of welding to make up a mount.

Battery Tray doesn't clear Injector Pump, so moved the Battery to under the passenger seat.

You'll need to rig up a feed for the engine stop on the pump.

Throttle Linkage needs fabricating.

Lose the fixed fan and fit an electric one in front of the radiator, I used a Mk2 Astra one and chopped the housing about till it fitted, works well.

I used the old top hose housing from the old engine and just swapped it over.

The fuel pipes wont reach, so I brought the fuel filter forwards on a bracket I made up.
