2.5 na bottom rad hose in s3

I have a series 3 with a 2.5 na engine. It has the standard s3 radiator. I need a new bottom rad hose. The standard one from an s3 looks the right shape and length but the end that goes onto the water pump is too narrow. Anybody any ideas?

warm the rubber pipe in boiling water and force it over with some lube? How much narrower is it?

or get a 2.5na pipe and an s3 pipe, cut them and rejoin them with a piece of copper pipe and jubilee clips/hose clips so you have a piece of pipe that fits the engine, then the other end fits the rad.
