Hi guys.

I'm new here so please be nice.

I was driving to work Tuesday when my landy lost all power and died.

I've replaced the fuel filter, checked the lift pump which is working fine. Fuel is getting to the injector pump but fuel and only coming out of injector feed pipe number 1.

There is no fuel reaching injectors 2,3 and 4.

Please help.

Do you mean that when you turn the engine with the starter you're only getting fuel at no1, or when you use the lift pump? The engine needs to turn the injection pump to distribute the fuel to different injectors.
If you've been turning it on the starter, check that your timing belt hasn't gone - there's a little inspection plate at the bottom of the timing case, behind the crank pulley - remove the 4 10mm bolts and shine a torch in. The plate is often missing, in fact. You should be able to see if the belt is tight against the crankshaft toothed wheel inside. If it has failed, do not try to turn the engine over more. Unless you're equipped to do it yourself, you'll have to get it trailered to a garage - there may have been damage to push rods and valves. If all looks ok, there is another inspection plate on the front of the timing cover, with three large screws. If you can get this off, shine a light in and check the belt there. If it looks OK, the injection pump may have failed.

When cranked and with the lift pump fuel only reaches number 1.

I am a vehicle technician but this is my firat landy.

I've bitten the bullet, removed the pump and stripped it down.

I can now revile what the culprit was.

The drive to the distribution block has seized and therefore sheared the head off.

Now does anyone know we're I can get diesel pump spares from?

Can get a full engine for fifty quid, no one wants em:)

It is a 2.5 n/a ??

yes it is a 2.5 n/a. 1 day I would like to fit a 200TDI but for now that would work out a load cheaper than trying to source the parts to repair this pump.

The manufacturer of the pump certainly wouldnt suggest you strip it down and put the parts on a desk top:eek: The parts shoud be stored in a stainless dish full of fuel IIRC. Very likely you have got dirt into the pump!
Delphi Diesel took over some parts supply when CAV folded, not sure if this includes pump parts. Local fuel injection place should be able to supply parts. Personally I doubt if that pump will run well after you have rebuilt it, might be better to get a good second hand pump. Google is your friend! ;)
