Hi Guys,

Out of all of the complex jobs I've tackled so far on my P38, it was always going to be a small job that left me scratching my head!!

The air con tensioner bearings have flopped, and when innocently removing the pulley to replace it, I found that there are 2 x identical threaded holes behind the tensioner that it could re-fit into.....an upper hole and a lower hole around 15mm apart from each other......Grrr!!

I've looked through Rave, and all over the internet for an image that shows which hole the tensioner is mounted in, but I cant find what i'm looking for :( .

Would anyone happen to know if its the upper or lower threaded hole that the tensioner mounts into?

They can be a bit of a nightmare it seams to depend on the length of the belt, some fit a slightly short belt as some times you cant get it right
the belt i fitted was a 4pk830
you have two possible bolt holes its which ever you can get to work:D

Ah yes, that makes sense for longer/shorter belts.

I've got a Dayco belt to put back on, so will bear that in mind when I refit and set the tension.
