2.5 Diesel Engine number / Glow Plugs

Dumb question I know and probably obvious when you know where to look
Where do I find the engine number on a 2.5 BMW Rangie engine
I need it to know weather to order O rings or a gasket for the inlet manifold when I take it off to check/replace the glow plugs

And.. should I pay 20 something kwid for a set from FleaBay or 43 (trade price) for a set from a Landrover parts supplier, are the cheap ones indeed cheap
The old adage of buy cheap buy often comes to mind

I Know 3 seperate posts but it show make the threads easir to follow

A black plastic inlet manifold will require o-rings, the earlier metal type requires the flat gaskets.

I put cheap glow plugs in mine, but then I am cheap. They've lasted 5 days so far okay...

Got all my bits from euro car parts cos they are all bmw bits if you like ,6 glow plugs (bosch) 6 flat gaskets all came to about £60 if memory serves .

Cheers. usefull info, still cant find the engine number, and will prob go for a set of glow plugs off FleaBay no see how they go

Pay the extra and get proper ones. If you had had the difference demonstrated to you as I have, you wouldnt be asking the question. The speed difference can be incredible.

Gonna try replacing the injector leak-over pipes tomorro and see if that makes here start easier, if not it will be decison time on LR glow plugs or FleaBay
