And it's going great!!!!
Wet carpet drivers side and using abit of water, so removed the sodden article expecting a leak from heater matrix but no!!!! waiting for some heavy rain.....

Had a look under bonnet for signs of coolant loss, no evidence there!!!Taken on a decent run of about 100 miles used no water!:)

so it's only using it on short runs, from where is anybodys guess:confused:

Absolutely solid with only spots of surface rust in boot, inner wings amazing and sills as new!!! regular waxoyling does work:clap2:

V8 with gas conversion..... broken fuel gauge as topping up tank from a jerry can resulted in overflow of the good stuff! a full tank!! bonus:D

Wouldn't go into diff lock, but strangely it was just a nylon bush in selector mechanism that had dropped it's circlip n popped up. easy fix then.

Just to replace a front wheel bearing, maybe find the rain leak and coolant leak, fix faulty fuel gauge/sender, O and diagnose why there's no abs light illuminating, I did swapped bulb with indicator bulb so it seems the problem lies deeper!!!

I found (its widely known !!) rust biggest problem. Have taken out all carpets/soundproofing etc as they hold moisture (more like bucket loads of water).

Expect more noise (!?)

On top of rust at the mo. But constantly attacking it.

Its a great vehicle to work on. Little complicated electrics.

Disco 1 does all the others do as well, so why bother with the fancy bits.

The bits are only for people who can't do it themselves. :bolt:

Reg,

Mike. :5bsifone:

Cant say i've noticed any more noise, but i've only removed the offending drivers footwell area.

O yes and had it in some serious mud and it just took it in its stride:biggrin1:
