Hi there,

We've recently inherited a 1999 RR DSE 2.5 diesel which has the usual battery drain problem from what we can see...... we left the car for 3 days without starting it and the battery was totally dead, had to be charged for 24 hours before it would work. Once we reconnected it, all worked fine, apart from the passenger window will not work. The computer says "window not set". It will not go up or down at all.....
i can see from other threads on here that other people have had the problem of "window not set" and have fixed it by resetting the window, but how do i do that when the window will not go up or down? Any ideas?
Please help?

It could be a fault inside the door, in the wiring from the door into the body, corrosion in the connector in the footwell, corrosion in the wiring from there back to under the driver's seat or a faulty switch. All of these have been reported in the past but with the door and the wiring from it being the most 'popular'. I'd start there and work back.
