Hi all,
I have this Disco 2 stood on my front drive gathering dust and need best advice on what to do with it.
I've had the jeep 7+years and it was running great until late January when I was driving north up the A1 and I had the main hose burst. I had Green Flag bring it hoe, my local garage fitted a new hose and then it fired up but the starter motor kept running after it started, we then put a new starter on it then there was a loudish bang and it has conked.
I looked at prices for re-con engines and they are not sensible (not feasible) so really looking for someone who knows these engines and could help fathom out the problem.
Either way I need it fixing or will sell it for spares.
It is in tidy condition and I have had it maintained well for the last 7 years with quite a lot of spends on it - it runs beautifully normally, a really nice drive.
Anyone who can help then please get in touch - I love the old girl and would love to fix it up or at least make sure she goes to a good home!
Cheers

If it were me i would want to find out if the new starter motor caused the problem. Or why the engine is actually broke'd. Then use that info to make a decision.

Land rover owners are quite sensitive peeps and get upset if yer call a LR a j**p. Mainly because most of them want to own a vehicle with just enough essential parts. Like a tratter. Betterer known as a biscuit tin on wheels.
