I have been the subject of identity theft on 2 occasions, one via my company and one personal. Having bailiffs turn up at my accountants demanding £20K in rent on a suit of offices in Birmingham was not funny, there were a lot of other bills that were not mine turning up too. Living in France was my get out, I could prove that I was never in the UK when the rental contract was signed. since then I have never put much in the way of personal information on the internet.
Very wise Keith!

Must be awful. I'm careful too. And still no beard to get caught in anything! Missing my Range Rover :(

Is it not still outside so no need to miss?

Pedant. Accurate tho as when I 'parked' him I knew as I braked he would stall, so he's in the parking bay impressively straight considering I kind of threw him in there, but wheels are turned so form an obstacle in their own right. Will resolve when, like so many thing, I can be arsed.

He will be fine, just having a little rest :)

I used to drive a raised Classic 3.5 auto in Land Rover trials, and had another lowered 1" on Scorpion suspension for the road. Sold one other stolen; bought first P38 abroad. Then had a break, then a few Classics. I hadn't had a RR for a while when I met this one.
A guy down the road has a Classic; as I walk past it, all I can think is, 'How did I think they were enormous? They are SO SMALL!!' :D

I've done just over 100,000 miles in my Defender since I got it and I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's perfectly comfortable. The most I've done in a day is 700 miles, and the only thing that's wrong with me at the end of it is the sole of my foot is numb where I've been pressing on the accelerator.

OK P38 owners, before you get started, please don't pull Brown's chain, leg or whatever. I've also been on long almost-comfortable journeys in a Defender. Let's not get side-tracked into handbags at dawn and subvert the thread just 'cos someone took a wrong turn and got the hump. Please. Play nice.

I didn't intend to be provocative, I'm just saying it's perfectly possible to be comfortable on long journeys in a Defender.
Anyway, how's the gearbox? Any news yet?
