Hi all

I have owned 3 P38 Range Rovers, a 95 M plate 2.5, a 98 R 2.5, and a 01 4.6 V8.

Having sold them and buying a VW, I decided to buy another one. I picked it up a few days ago.

It has full service history, but when I bought it, it struggled to start, but once running it drove home lovely. I thought it might just need a run after not being used for a while.

However, this morning I went to fire it up, and the engine turns over, I can smell diesel after a while, it just won't fire.

What could it possibly be? Glowplugs?

Any help would be most appreciated before I get ripped off by a main dealer!

Thanks

Richard

Possibly glowplugs but I had a problem with my relay which is located under the bonnet inside the ecu box behind the battery,I literally had to tap the relay a few times to get the car started, after doing this for a few weeks I finally took the relay out and cleaned and tightened all the connections and she's been fine ever since.
