So here I am, first post!

I have spent the past hour reading all your topics on here.

I want to replace my Audi A4 with a big bad RR. I have found a 130k DSE (has to be diesel for tax reasons!!) My journey to work is a 120 mile round trip on motorways every day, I need something reliable and comfortable. My concern is the DSE is a little underpowered, however im not trying to win the le mans 24hour!, I just need something that is comfy to sit at "exaggerated" motorway speeds.

Your many years of wisdom would be much appreciated!!

Ahh see there in lies the problem!, the little Audi plugs on day in and day out!, that was the same kind of thing I wanted from the RR! - with a service twice a year?!?!?!

I agree with him, make sure its chipped and you will be fine. 85mph, in my opinion, is around the top 'comfortable' speed from the DSE, it will go faster but it does feel like you are really pushing it from then on.

The Range Rover probably, well, actually, WONT be as reliable as your Audi, you have to be willing to put in time to maintain it.

Not going to happen, you have to service the P38 every 12,000 according to the book but people recommend you do an oil change every 6,000 miles for good performance and engine longevity. In the time between the services you will have to put up with little things not always working and small niggles that will need fixing. I have been on this forum for over 2 years now and have seen many people buy a P38, really excited about it and then over the next few months they have fallen out of love and got rid of it. The P38 is a lovely vehicle but you MUST but willing to look after it and put the time into it that it requires.

I would love to, but i think my new wife may get a little upset!, I do have workshops available to me so i guess it could be done......
