Ideas if you please gents.
170,000 miles. Only have the problem when vehicle is warm, (Normal range on gauge).
Fip serviced 7 months ago (No leakage)
No fuel running back, No air in system.
Hot start kit fitted - heater plugs on when key turned- Not depending on temperature. Heater plugs all functioning!
Car starts easily cold, but not at all whilst temp gauge in "Normal temp box"! I have to wait until needle drops out of box, then starts first kick again???

If the hot start is working it should not matter where the temp gauge is or what ECU temp sensor is reading. ECU temp sensor is taken out of the starting loop with a hot fix fitted and cold start setting should be being applied. When it starts with hot start is the RPM elevated for a few seconds or does it just sit at 750 RPM? With hot start in operation wait until the glow lamps go out before engaging starter likewise on cold start. DO NOT turn key to start with glow lamps lit.

From Cold starts within 2 seconds of glow light extinguishing! Idles approximately 1050-1100 rpm for 30 secs then drops to 750 (when timer disengages unit) So assuming unit working as should!
When warm/hot glow light comes on as normal (with unit!) Did not come on prior to fitting when warm and wouldn't start, (Did cure when first fitted!)
Has been on diagnostics, NO FAULT recorded[emoji22]

I'd be looking at the chains, maybe the timing is too far out now. Check the modulation on diagnostics.

If the Hot fix is working properly it should do exactly the same when hot. I would think something is amiss with the Hot fix. Sounds like it is activating glow plugs but not setting start fuel. That is why i asked what the engine idles at after an hot start. A fault on the Hot fix will not show on diag.

I had hot start problems and had a hot start fix on it but it was still difficult.
I had renewed the timing chains and set the timing modulation .In the end i bit the bullet and had the FIP overhauled and since then I have had no problems with hot start and took the hot start fix off and have done about 2000 miles since then.
But before you do that check the leak off pipes and timing modulation
