Like 'pics or it didn't happen' , 'red ones don't go up hills' and 'the BoB option'

I've been offered £250 by a breaker for a 1997 300 tdi with blown head gasket, leaking fuel pump and serious rot, so £200 absolute max seems a little out of touch

yeah but a breaker will just dump it in his yard and flog bits when ever someone wants summat then weigh in what ever is left.
private buyer will need to do the above within a very short time span. So won't be able to sell as many parts.
