This is turning out to be the engine swap from hell. ive now replaced all the plugs leads and its not firing on the o/s bank not even 1 of them I have a spark going to all four plugs on that side as but i still have my misfire. coil pack maybe? could it be the injector wiring which to be honest i guessed them as i couldnt remeber how they went? or does anyone think the engine i got could be a dud? Ive had engine from this previous breakers before and they assured me this engine ran ok before they removed it. any ideas would be great :confused::confused::confused:

I'm pulling up a chair for this one, since I am already buying a Holley carb in preparation for the exact same engine transplant. Standing by....

have you had the ecu fault tested?
was the engine the same spec as the one you put in as the latter engines have a different crank sensor to the earlier engines

the engine is a 96 and mine is a 97 i swapped the cranksensor over as the plug was different. my ecu was fine when the other engine was in?

which flywheel did you use? was you crsank sensor with a flylead or pluged directly to it has the ecu been read

i used the original flywheel. the cranksensor is one thats plugged straight into. its been code read and their no faults and its getting a reading from the cranksensor as that been checked on the comuter some how. surely the cranksensor wasnt reading then it wouldnt be ticking over fine?

it would not run though it can some times be the cam sensor and the ecu defaults to crank worth a try
