1993 200tdi speedo change?

ive got a 200tdi 1993 with no rev counter, ive seen the speedos with rev counters come up for sale, i just wondered if the correct wirring etc will be installed to run it ok? or will it not work without me putting extra wires in?

Can you give us a picture as I thought the rev counter was standard?

Either way the rev counter/fuel/temp is separate from the speedo and idiot light cluster. Land rover were never good at leaving extra wires lying around so you may have to wire it up.

Have a look at the two plugs at the top of the dash module and see if there are any that do not appear to go anywhere.

Mine is manual so even the wiring to the autobox overheat light is missing, which is fine as I wired it to indicate high engine temp.

mines manual to mate, will try remember to get a pic of speedo. will have to wip it out and see whats behind lol
