nice work ,did you strip and rebuild units or clean and paint them

I've stripped everything, replaced and cleaned then reassembled. that's including engine, gearbox etc

I've tried no to paint as much as possible to keep the original finish on all items, not easy though some stuff rusts over night!!

it dosnt get any better than this:clap2:
beautyfull job, bring on more pictures

Thanks for your kind comments. I was a tad concerned about putting any pictures on incase I got slated.

The cars at the point now where it needs all the body panels fitting. I've had to compromise on this and send them to a bodyshop to be done, I don't think I'd have been happy with the results I'd have got, mainly because I sprayed the shell myself and it was the most time consuming soul destroying thing I've ever encountered. I feared if I did the bodywork myself I might end up hating the thing!

Once again though, thanks for your kind comments. I have hundreds of before and after photo's so if anyone wants a particular picture please let me know.

Ant.

How could you think anyone would not admire and apreciate the good work you have done:)
we are only green with envy keep it up:D

You are a talented man, with far more time, money and motivation than I have.

This is going to be a show wining car.

Thanks for your kind comments.
Ant.

Keep them coming, please. I am in awe.

I think they represent what we all would like to do if we had the capability, motivation, time, energy and sheer bloody-mindedness that's needed to actually *do* it!

:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Flipping ek, I feel very humbled by your comments. I've wanted to do this for years and the main thing has been absolutely no compromise, this leads to alot of frustration but I think the end result is worth it.

I was genuinely worried about what comments I would get, everyone who's actually seen the car raves about it, apart from my neighbour who just cannot understand why I'm doing it, it's funny because he comes over and is in the garage with me for hours but just constantly lookes bemused as to why I'm doing various bits. His best comment is "but no one will even see that bit" to which I reply with "but I'll know"

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to finishing it now and bringing it to some shows and maybe meet some of you, seriously your comments are very very much appreciated.

Thankyou,

Ant.
P.s. I'll put some more pictures on next week, no chance this weekend with all the kids activities.
