My 90 Pickup was originally petrol, but now has a 200Tdi conversion. Neither front wing has an intake to fit a snorkel, and I'd rather not source another wing. In the engine bay, the air intake is a large black cylinder with around 4" of round metal pipe sticking out and going nowhere at the moment, so I'm looking for a low-cost snorkel to fit to this. Has anyone found a low cost option?? Will I need to drill in the side of the wing, or is there a version I can drill the top of the wing? Do I just buy a tube to mount to the windscreen and fit a length of flexible pipe through the bodywork to the intake?

If it was me i would just drill a hole in the bonnet near the side you want and use a bit of flexi hose.

I have smashed 2 snorkel sides on my defender while out landing!

But thats just me, and no one else ive ever spoke to has never bust 1, let alone 2. :(

Well, it's on - what a pure pig of a job!! Hole cut in the wing - fine - routing the tubing from the airbox at the front to the snorkel tube - pure sh*t!! Heater box was in the way, the bolts to remove it seized, but after 3hrs of swearing it's done. Now, just need to find something to get this awful Tiger Seal off my hands! Tried Swarfega, White Spirit, Lighter Fuel and nothing touches it.... Suggestions???
