Hi
New to Range Rovers but have 2 Discoverys.
I have been offered a 89 model Range Rover V8 3.5L. It has only done 65k but has been off the road for 7 years, so no MOT or Tax.
It starts first tine no problem and ticks over ok and the interior is imaculate. The body work could do with a good polish but no corroision or dents.
The bad bits are it needs the outer sills replaced the old one are already cut off, needs some brake pipes and possible master cylinder, front shocks will need replaced as will all brake disc and pads.
The chassis is solid as is the boot floor the rear upper and lower tailgate are not pritty but work.
It also has 4 branch tubular downpipes and full s/steel exhaust.

How much do you think it could be worth?

Cheers
Graeme

i'd give maybe £500 quid if he's gonna throw in a migatronic welder:rolleyes:,its worth what ever your prepared to pay for it,the guy must have a figure in his head, cars that have stood normally show there faults after car has been driven a bit so dont pay too much!

good luck.

depends what you want it for...

off road ......very little
project....... very little

haggle hard.... at the end of the day anythings only worth what some one is willing to pay... check the completed listings on ebay

£400 in the crusher apparently , scrappys wont sell classics for less as scrap prices are so high and they are so heavy!

Hi
Thanks for the replies. The guy originally wanted £1000 for it as it has a private number on it. But now says I can have it for £500 if I give him the number back once it's mot'd.
I was thinking about £400 but the cheaper the better.
I only want a good engine, gearbox and chassis as I plan to turn it into a Tomcat.

Cheers
Graeme

Hi Graeme

What colour is it? If it's black are you selling the bodywork when you strip it down? I could do with the driver's door if it's black and you're selling it... Oh, and if it's in good nick!

Cheers
Dave

Hi
If I do get it , it will be a couple of years before I take the body off as I want to use it for a while before I turn it into a Tomcat.
Also I will need all the doors for the MOT:D

Thanks for the offer anyway will let you know how I get on.

Ha! Cheers mate. It was worth a shot!! Difficult finding a black door that doesn't look like it's been used for banger racing then left on the shores of a salt lake for ten years. My door's in perfect nick apart from where a F***ING van driver strayed to my side of the road and smashed my wing mirror into it leaving a lovely dent. Should just get off my arse and get the filler out really...
