Hello, I’ve just joined this forum as I’m hoping I might get a bit of encouragement and advice along the way whilst restoring our family 1985 110 County.
I’m relatively new to Land Rover ownership but not to restoration vehicles, although to be honest my strengths are more towards paint/body & interiors rather than mechanical although I do know the difference between a spanner and a screwdriver!
Three years ago I bought our 110 from a widow with the intention of seeing if it “fits” with the family and spent the last three years doing the MOT minimum to keep her on the road.
Now I want to get her back to her former glory.
Is there a place on this forum to start a restoration thread?
Peachy.

Welcome to landyzone fireplace for retired duffers with half a bum missing.
Best chinwagging will be in the defender section for lots of advise.

Hi and welcome!

I’ve just said hi on your project thread before I saw this one. But it’s a nice original looking Landy. Just ripe for a sympathetic restoration.

Yes, I’ve started a build/restoration thread here;

Ps. Any advise on dealing with the constant bombardment of pop-up adds? Or is it case of just getting used to them for the sake of the forum/greater good?

Hello and welcome:)
If you hover the cursor over your name top right you can go in to your forum preferences and opt out of the adds

I’ll try that on my PC when I get home as it doesn’t seem to work on my mobile (currently on holiday, bored, when I should be working on my one-ten)

edit… sorted now, cheers
