Good morning to you all. I have recently imported an ex South African Airforce Colonels vehicle . It is in show condition and I need help in registering the car as it was registered to private use in 1993.
It is of course a historical vehicle and I want some idea when the car was produced for the DVLA please.
It has the nine digit chassis number which ended in 1979.

Does it have 8 numbers and 1 letter at the end and does the first 3 fall between 901-965...
Aso post this in the series section not here as this is for members build project...
 
Very nice looking LR.
I had a 1979 2.6ltr. station wagon in the late 'eighties & retro-fitted a Mk 2 P5 engine; same block that just drops in, but what a difference in performance without a fuel consumption penalty.
This variant of the S3 is becoming very rare, take good care of it ;)
 
The problem you have is proving build date as that will be stumbling block re DVLA regarding SA imports...
And remove your post code from profile...
