Series 3 1972 neg. earth petrol.

Can any member tell me where I can find a wiring diagram showing the heater fan to fan switch wiring? At present I am adapting a military harness so lots of the wires seem redundant compared with the civilian version. The diagram is not shown in the Haynes manual. Was this an optional extra?

Just noticed that I can't see a heater blower on that diagram. I wasn't aware that a heater was an option on Series 3.

I'll check the optional catalogue but I think a heater was standard, especially for the updated S3 spec.

Thanks for your reply, Wireman. This diagram is almost identical to the Haynes manual. I kept looking but couldn’t see it. “Can’t see the wood for the trees” or “can’t see the switch for the wires”.

I would have thought the heater was standard looking at the amount of preparation for it, i.e the wing inlet grill, dashboard ducting. The heaters themselves all seem to rust away. Found old shotgun cartridges in mine.

Heater was optional extra early on .
