Hi . I've had my series 2 stripped down in my garage for about ten years now. It's now become time to do something with it . Had a friend who knows more about landrovers than me . He looked at log book and it comes to light I'm third owner and it was the 103rd series 2 off the production line. Engines not original but rest looks good . Dilemma is should I just put it back together and use it to take rubbish to tip or spend money on it and rebuild It back to like new ?. Would appreciate input. Many thanks.

Were it me I'd rebuild it to a good state. You can always still use it to take the rubbish to the tip - there's no reason in the world to keep a car a shed just because it's used for mundane tasks.

Agree our great leader. Its well worth getting it fixed up and on the road, even with non original engine. I'd try to source a proper 2.0 litre engine. Is it canvass top?
