18" Hurricane Alloy Wheels - Can I fit 245 / 55 / 18 Wranglers?

Quick question:

Can I safely fit a matching set of Goodyear Wrangler's (245 / 55 / 18) onto these rims?

I ask as a couple of other posts elsewhere have suggested that one should fit 255 / 55 /18's or 255 / 60 / 18's! Would it be dangerous to fit these ever so slightly narrower tyres?

Thanks - but I'm presuming that this is a gut feeling guess (like mine)? You're not a tyre fitter by chance are you?

Isn't it 10mm narrower? i.e. 245 as opposed to 255? I just don't know how signficant that is though.....
