1500 miles/year. 200 TDI or 3.5 V8?

If covering only 1000-2000 miles per year, would you consider a 3.5 V8 over say a 2.5TD/300TDI?

same choice - going to pick up a 3.5 SU carb v8 when i get home to put in my 19j ninety

If i just wanted a very occasional toy I would get a v8.

Having a few different dismals to drive its a real breath of fresh air to drive my 110 V8 , so if its only for a few miles do it

Nothing more exciting than getting rid of my 300tdi in favour of a V8!! Actually, that is quite exciting...

It's one of those things isn't it; your head says get a deisel, why wouldn't you. But when you actually stop and think about it, deisel isn't always the answer! I drive a deisel everyday and it gives me 50 to the gallon, which is great, but for a truck that I'll use half a dozen times a year it has to be more about the smiles per mile.

I had a real hard time deciding what I wanted to do, my truck is used for laning and thats about it, I love the V8 burble and the power but in the end it came down to the waterproofing and reliability of the diesel, I still want that V8 though!
