My solution to fixing the canvas to the roof, screw and stick 20mm box to a strip of chequer plate then stick to the inside of the roof... I will then fix the canvas to the inside edge of the box with a screwed on ally strip and to the top of the outside of the walls with the same

Hey,
I just acquired a Defender 130 with the same aim to build a Overland Vehicle.
Any chance you can share your plans with me?

Are you going to have any seating in the rear area? I need seating for 4 - need to make space for 2 kids as well.
What was your rationale for a popup roof? This is a qestion i have been thinking about. Ideally, i would like to have an overcab fixed bed, and i feel canvas might not be as good for insulation as i plan to travel in cold areas.

hi,just the 2 of us so no travel seating in the back...pop roof ia 50cm lower than my 6.4 when closed and the truck will fit in a container

here is something of interest for you

i have no plans as such just whats in my head and the camper book

canvas will be ok in cold areas as i am fitting a heater....hahhaaha

went to the weighbridge yesterday...box on wheels nothing inside....2340kg...was hoping to come in at under 3ton loaded but we will see
