Hi all,

What kind of problems am I going to have putting a 24V rated heater blower into a domestic 12V series? Would I need a step up transformer to provide enough clout?
Thing is my heater blower has never worked and I can get a new 24V one for cheaper than a new motor for my burnt out one!

Ta in advance

I've got a feeling you might have trouble getting it to run, and you might be trying to draw too much from your alternator. I'm sure someone will know for sure, but I'd be a little wary.

errr
tranformer aint much good fer DC!
it will run but only at half speed
you could get an inverter power supply to step 12V up to 24V, but that would cost more than a proper motor.

Okay, maybe I should go after a second hand 12V then.. Thanks for your advice, its much appreciated :)

Won't work very well, if at all, as said. You can swap the 24V motor for a 12V one....but that makes buying a complete 24V heater a bit silly!
