12V supply behind the radio for sat nav

I'm upgrading my satnav, to a Garmin inbuilt into the console, using the built-in one's hole. Where would the best point to tap off a power supply be? Currently I'm thinking going all the way round the back to the cigarette lighter..

There will be a switched live for the radio, RAVE will tell you which wire it is.

I think it's the pink wire off the radio block a quick test with circuit tester and switching the ignition on and off will tell you.

White and Pink for switched live, Purple for permanent live.

I've decided to exploit the original data cable running from the back of the car, and tapping the original GPS' supply. Will report on whether this works!

Final Update:
Put the supply in parallel with the cigarette lighter, which was very easy to access (assuming you're well acquainted with taking the fascia off). Working perfectly
