12j engine

    Hi all can anyone give me some information about a 12j engine as I have come across a defender 110 for sale with a 12j in it with a 5 speed gearbox....:confused:...Thanks...Tony

    It's a turbo diesel without the turbo!

    Pretty weedy, very thirsty, a bit unreliable but very simple!

    the 12j isn't that bad..... a 110 with a 12j is a lot cheaper than one with a tdi, and it will get it about until you swap the 12j for a TDi....

    It's a matter of choice m8....both are 2.5/4cyl diesel engines... just that one has 67 bhp the other one 111 at approx. same consumption.

    Thanks again I still have my disco Td5 to be going on with I just thought I would get a defender as well incase I want a change..Cheers...Tony
