110 Wolf doors, repair, or replace?

I have just got a Wolf 110, 1997 and I need either a new N/S door skin, or a new door.

Any experiences of resigning, advice or general tips would be very welcome.

Where can I look for a door skin?

Nothing on eBay at the moment.

They are the same as the post 1980 Series Land Rover. The difference from the earlier doors being a cut-out for the door lock. (Hence anti-burst locks )
The skins should be aluminium, although steel skins are available.

Yes, good question. When I drive my series 3, sometimes the door latch unlatches and instead of it being closed securley, it is still closed but not tight closed if you know what I mean. Is a anti burst lock meant to prevent this.

Thatcham? My M151 A2 used to live there, on a farm on the way to Basingstoke.

It used to be a nice place to live but its filling up with channel crossing immigrants bussed up from Kent all moaning about how they cant get well paid jobs and the cost of mobile phone contracts and sky tv. Although, apparently, inflatable dingies are a lot cheaper here compared to France.

Are both doors on the Wolf supposed to lock?

anti burst locks are a 2 stage door mechanism, if the door isn’t shut properly it’s still held securely, albeit ajar. So the door can be fully open, ajar (but the door won’t flap about and is still held on the latch) or fully closed

the earlier non-anti burst were either shut fully or just open, so if you door latch came open going round a roundabout the door would ‘burst’ open and you would fall out!
 
Anti-burst locks.
Early Land Rovers and some other classic era vehicles had door catches similar to Yale locks.
The problem is if the door gets a good clout and bends inwards , or a chubby occupant is flung against the door and it flexes outwards, the door effectively becomes shorter and will "burst" open.
With anti-burst locks, the door lock and retainer interlock, and should not separate unless the door handle is lifted.
The type approval regs came in around 1980, so the later Series 3's were fitted with anti-burst locks.

That descibes the door latches on my 1977 series, so they must be anti-burst.

Morning All, so there seems to be a toss up between Paddock and Paintman Panels.
What are the pros and cons of these two offerings?

Do they both just bolt straight on with no adjustment/resizing?.
