110 tdci wingtop aerial

Probably the stupidest question ever but here goes. Just picked up a very nice low mileage 2011 110 2.4 XS station wagon. It has an FM aerial on the offside front wing but I can't see any way to extend it. The radio works fine with the aerial showing about a 1/4 inch nipple which does jiggle. Should this extend or not? If it should, how?

Try a bit of WD40 or similar on it, then wiggle it about a bit, in out round one way then the other, it should extend to the height of the roof if it a factory fitted aerial.
