whats involved then in fitting a 110 sailsbury rear axle on an early (72)rrc?

i need to convert to discs..is this easy..direct swap of parts or do i need to buy bits?

rear shock mounts? where are they on 110 axle?i guess i need to weld one on maybe???

anything else??

how come your only doing the back one zen?

not easier to uprate the exsisting axels with better diffs, halfshafts etc?

one at a time!and you seen the price of front sailsburys??

the diff internals all use the landy bits,so no upgrade really (except for the lsd/locker function..)

fits on the same ,unless yours is very early rr with fore and aft shockers ,you can convert drum salis to disc sali but you would need caliper mounts stub axles ,hubs ,drive flanges, discs, half shafts etc.probably easier to buy disc sali to start with ,spring plate would need to be swapped for your rr ones, also check prop length

ah..more info please..re disc conversion..can i use any of my 72rangie brake parts(as all very uprated)and would be a shame (££££££££££££) not too..

yes my rrc is fotree and arft shockers, but am fitting oposite numbers anyway so can have 4 shockers..

whats the point then zen, especially as you only use it for the school run lol, its not ur casing bolts you keep breaking its halfshafts, diffs and gearboxes :p

i would try fitting your hubs etc ,you may have to fit salis stub axles salis half shafts ,salis drive member get 2 x ftc3306 caliper mounts and normally different off set on salis brake discs but frc7329 solid fronts fit perfect ,ive only done it using the later disc axle parts which bolt straight on to drum case usually cost about £300 ,it was worth it when putting v8 + autobox in 110s ,if your calipers are imperial you can drill holes out 13mm to take new metric bolts
