110 rear tailpipe needs replacing

My 1997 300tdi (with cat) rear tail pipe needs replacing very soon. Found one on Paddocks (38.20 + vat) and it looks a straight forward job. Should I look at replacing the 'hook' thing that holds it up and the rubber whatsit? When unbolted from the middle section do I need to seal the new section with anything? This is a new one on me.......

I bought a complete system from paddocks for my 90 and had no probs, they were the cheapest by far. It's not always a bad idea to replace the rubber hanger although you don't have to, all depends how worn it is.you will have to seal the join with gun gum or similar exhaust putty or it will blow like f**k. When you have fitted it start ur landy up and put your hand over the exhaust only for a second or so and listen out for any leaking on the joint

bin it and side exit at 90 degrees.you dont need it.where the middle joins the back box run it straight then 90 over top of chassis rail and out side panel.cheaper,lighter,better on fuel and power....win win..

no louder either...
