Greetings from a new member!:D
Could do with a few ideas of what to do with my collection of dead landrovers. I'll just run through my plan let me know what you think .

I've collected over the years 2 classic range rovers 1xCreg auto v8 and 1 F reg manual with 200tdi and a 2.5 n/a 110 hi cap pickup.

The c reg Rangie has knackered rear chassis 110,000 miles it runs and gearbox is ok. The F reg runs all ok but was vandalised when some !''@@~~ers:mad:  :D broke into my shed (they didn't even nick anything just smashed everything in sight) its got 165,000 miles on gearbox not sure on engine. The 110 has rust free chassis on a "D" plate with 100.000 miles the block has cracked everything else in good condition for an ex farm vehilce. Bought it of local farmer who had it from new.

I've also got the following parts . Brand new front and rear axles for RR classic with discs and calipers (genuine new not recon) new auto box from K reg classic again not recon. Pair of leather electric front seat from K reg. Bought as job lot for an amount you would'nt believe so I won't say!

Right now my plan.

I want to get the 110 on the road using the best bits from each vehicle. It will be used mainly on the road with a fair bit of motorway work if my new venture works out (buying selling bikes). I was going to put the new axles on it to give higher gearing and discs all round, would they easily fit on chassis and what would I need to do to get the props to fit. I have discovered from reading other threads on the site that the disco transfer box would raise the gearing would the RR transfer box fit and do the same. I would go for the one on the older RR as it has a lower mileage would it fit as its on an auto box at the moment. If I were to do this would it mean that I could get away without swopping the axles as the ones on the 110 are fine and I was only going to change them to up the gearing.
Any helpful (don't mind some sarcasm) hints ideas please.

The other thing would be to fit the 200 tdi from the Freg RR to the 110. I understand it can be done fairly easily. It is an engine from a Disco I think.I am a bit concerned as I understand the turbo is a tight fit to the chassis rails as its positioned lower than on a defender tdi. Is this a major disadvantage or nothing to worry about? I will be getting a conversion kit for the exhaust etc as I'm not the best welder in the world.

I think I've covered most of it your thoughts will be appreciated.

p.s. I have thought of the other option available sell the bloody lot and get one complete running vehicle. But that would be too easy and I don't think I'd get £5000+ for all those bits.

Oh I nearly forgot anyone know how to test to see if the electric seats are working when not in vehicle. They are for sale and I want to make sure they are ok. If anyone wants them make me an offer also seeling the new auto box which was bought for a K reg RR classic offers invited. I am in Somerset near Weston Super mare. Thanks hope I didn't bore you to much:D ;)
